The Watson-Watt Society are continuously canvassing for funds and we need your help within our community and from our visitors and sponsors who are keen to celebrate another GREAT Scot in the history books for the pioneering work in developing RADAR.  There are hundreds of different ways you can raise money for The Watson-Watt Society of Brechin, but we suggest you keep it simple and choose something you think you’ll enjoy - from physical challenges like skydiving and fun runs to band nights, quizzes and dress down days. Whatever inspires you, it's good to know you are making a direct contribution to the Society simply by having fun with your friends, family or colleagues. Recycled handsets are sold second hand and re-used around the world. In developing countries, getting a fixed landlines can be expensive - Second hand mobiles are an affordable and sustainable means of communication that help businesses to run more efficiently and families to stay in touch more easily. Help us raise money and protect the environment There are currently around 90 million mobile phones circulating in the UK - That's an average of 2 unwanted handsets per household! As well as precious metals like gold and silver, mobile phones contain highly toxic substances such as cadmium and mercury If mobiles are thrown in the bin, they end up in landfill, where they can leak and pollute the environment One mobile phone battery could potentially be enough to pollute 600,000 litres of water 1 2 3 4 1 2 3 4 Drop your old mobiles at the following locations To Be Updated shortly Drop off Locations Your can drop your old mobile phones at any of the locations listed below - we will be adding new drop-off points so check back If you have collected 6 or more Mobiles - we will collect them for FREE !  Obviously it’s best to collect as many phones as you can, but if you’ve managed to gather 6 or more handsets we will arrange a free collection from you.
